About David Archambault
David Archambault is an innovator who applies experience gained through a highly successful career in technology and its application to his current leadership recruiting and advisory work. He has a unique talent for building highly successful and effective management teams. This work has ranged from entrepreneurial start-ups to divisional-level leadership within multi-national Fortune 100 organizations. As a Ward Howell Partner, David specializes in the technology, automotive (AV/EV) and media sectors and recruits and advises senior leadership at the functional level as well as operations, technology/R&D, strategy, and business development.
Much of David’s current work draws from a results-driven, successful career in which he pioneered the merging of technology with arts and media. He later founded and ran a consultancy as CEO which helped companies and organizations leverage the rapid pace of digital change, social networking, open source and cloud technologies as well as implementing Direct-to-Consumer strategies.
David’s career initiatives included the earliest marriages of music and computers, digital recording and computer graphics. As the Director of Marketing and Product Management for Commodore Business Machines, David and his team launched the trailblazing Amiga personal computer, a seminal product that pioneered and defined multimedia computing. For Time Warner, he led the Madison Project—the first industry-driven digital download system for music. David built the WarnerActive CD-ROM gaming division, a joint venture between Warner Music Group and HBO, and he conceived, built and spun out an ecosystem/large scale multi-divisional internet commerce company. A partnership with the Bank of America and Wells Fargo Bank, this business supported thousands of commercial clients and processed more than $ 2 billion annually.
