About Peter F. Schibli
Peter manages a broad-based search practice within the financial services industry. Over the course of a 20-year search career, he has conducted assignments in virtually all areas of investment management as well as several highly specialized areas within capital markets and banking. Peter has developed a reputation for helping clients hire strong and uniquely qualified candidates often with unconventional financial services backgrounds.
Prior to joining Ward Howell, Peter was the founder and Principal owner of P.F.S. Associates. He established the business in 2004 and operated independently for 10 years in Boston until he moved the business functions into the Sheffield Haworth global platform in September 2014. Peter managed the Boston office for Sheffield Haworth until August of 2016 at which time he decided to reignite the engines at P.F.S. Associates as an independent entity. Areas of focus and expertise at P.F.S. included both the investment and non-investment executive functions at traditional and alternative investment management firms, sales and trading, compliance, operations, legal, and regulatory functions.
Peter began his professional career in 1990 with the Chase Manhattan Bank in New York where he served as a Relationship Manager in the Private Banking International group. He focused on the investment needs of high net worth families in Northern and Central Europe. Peter returned to Boston in 1995 and became an executive recruiter in the financial services industry with the boutique firm, H.I. Hunt & Company. He built his practice largely in the institutional sales and trading arena, corporate and public finance, and investment management. In 2002, Peter made a return to the investment community directly as an institutional equity salesman with Merrill Lynch, servicing the investment management community.
Peter is a graduate of St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York and resides north of Boston with his wife and four children.
