About Matt Clemens

Matt Clemens is Managing Partner of Ward Howell International and is based in the firm's Cleveland office.

He has more than 25 years of executive search, recruiting and operational experience. Matt's executive search assignments span upper-management to senior C-Level executives, CEO and Presidents.

Matt has worked with small to Fortune 500 public, private companies and private equity firms in areas of industrial and consumer manufacturing, business services and distribution/logistics. Specific industries include: consumer products, business services, diversified industrials, distribution, mobile, machinery/equipment, aerospace, instrumentation, test & measurement, automation and controls, life sciences, fluid power and motion control, oil & gas, smart grid, power generation, electrical transmission and distribution, transportation/logistics, automotive/heavy duty truck, building/home products and refrigeration/HVAC.

Director 1997 – 2001 Stratford Group, a top 20 executive search firm. Earlier, he served as Director for the Professional Recruiting division of Spherion Corporation, a Fortune 500 human resources consulting company.

Matt earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Villanova University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Cleveland State University.
